Delete your Skimist account
You can delete your account from Skimist itself, on the web or in the app. Sign in and open Settings.
What is deleted
Your email and password, your library, your categories, your reading history and your subscription record.
What is kept, and why
Summaries of public videos are shared between everyone who requested the same video, so they are not yours to delete. Nothing in them identifies you, and your link to them disappears with your account. We also keep anonymized records of your past jobs, with no link back to you, to power usage and cost statistics. Stripe also retains your billing and subscription data, as required by tax and audit law.
Thirty days to change your mind
Requesting deletion closes your account immediately and signs you out everywhere. For 30 days you can sign back in and cancel it. After that the deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
